Peace Corpse "terror of quincy" LP Reissue


The "Terror of Quincy "LP comes from the deepest, darkest corners of the Toxic Shock Records vaults. This LP pairs the best tracks from PEACE CORPSE 1985 masterpiece, "Terror of History" (which features Eric Wood of MAN IS THE BASTARD) and the complete "Quincy" 7" EP from 1983. These tracks have been out-of-print on vinyl for decades. This 9 song vinyl LP features original artwork by "Pushead", with a caricature of TV actor Jack Klugman. Peace Corpse was a Pomona CA punk band that sprung from the ashes of MOSLEM BIRTH, a band created as a parody of CHRISTIAN DEATH (featured on the Noise for Nowhere 7" compilation, also on Toxic Shock), PEACE CORPSE dealt with happenings of the times, macho jock punks ruining shows, religion and of course politics. Songs include "Dead in a Pile of Chairs", "Presidente Camouflage", "Mental Malady" and "Quincy's Lament" . Unlike many hardcore bands of the time, they weren't afraid to slow things down to a molasses-slow Sabbath crawl at times and top them off with a sinister, demonic sneer.Their sound is "dredged up from the netherworld, boasting gnarled chords and Wagnerian guitar leads" said Skyscraper fanzine.
